We, the Urantia Corps for Spiritual Progress (UCSP), wish to help fulfill the original mandate given to the Contact Commission of the Urantia Book approximately one hundred years ago:
“[T]he promotion, improvement, and expansion among the peoples of the world of the comprehension and understanding of Cosmology and the relation of the planet on which we live to the Universe, of the genesis and destiny of Man and his relation to God, and of the true teachings of Jesus Christ; and for the inculcation and encouragement of the realization and appreciation of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man–in order to increase and enhance the comfort, happiness, and well-being of Man, as an individual and as a member of society, through the fostering of a religion, a philosophy, and a cosmology which are commensurate with Man’s intellectual and cultural development.”
We wish to show by example that faith in the teachings of the Urantia Book leads to God consciousness and the bearing of the fruits of the spirit, which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
To achieve this objective we will begin
- To promote the spiritual advancement of our planet through evangelizing the fifth epochal revelation.
- To bring forward the good news of the original gospel of Jesus as revealed in the Urantia Book.
- To promote the strengthening of the nuclear family as the civilizer of mankind.
- To explain that Urantia is just one of many trillions of inhabited worlds in God’s great creation.
- To help prepare for the coming of a Magisterial Son.
- To help heal the divisions among Urantia book readers and to enlist as many as possible in the evangelizing mission to bring comfort and hope to our struggling world.
We sincerely wish to reach out to all people as our brothers and sisters (equally children of our loving Universal Father) and to offer them the living water of truth and the bread of eternal life–knowledge of God.
